this Monday will be the start of the QRS Week 2018. I expect all of you to make a reasonable effort to activate the bands using slow speed up to 14 wpm.
NEWCOMERS should read eucw.org/euqrs.html and scan the given frequencies for slow CW signals. Newcomers with a low confidence level may also choose to participate in the SWL class.
EXPERIENCED hams should just be on air. The prime objective is that QRS signals will be heard around the QRS frequencies. You are welcome to send in your logs but this is just an option. It is by far more important to do as much CQ calling as you can. Newcomers are often too shy to call cq.
HUNTERS/COLLECTORS are invited to participate and send in logs. Please use the software provided by G3ZOD and made available on the Fists page. The use of this software makes it a lot easier for me to compile my report on the event. If you cannot use or emulate MS-Software, please read the instructions carefully. Instructions are available in English, German, Italian, French, Hungarian, and Spanish.
The 2018 issue will be special because a new award design has been provided. The ECM with the highest number of RBN spots will get a special award on this occasion. Should the ECM winner be eligible for a regular award, the second most active ECM will get the special award. Dear ECMs, please do not let us down, represent your club, please.
